'Love Takes Time' This play is set in a hairdressers in Sheffield in the late 1990's, it follows the lives of some colorful characters, one in particular being Kate Sampson, an unlucky in love 20 something -who goes to great lengths to find love, check out the website for all casting details cheers. Emma Delaney is a young lady who has a dream of representing the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest, will her dream come true? and if it does will all go as planned?

the Singer Dancer Actress hoping to enter the Eurovision song contest
It has been Emma's dream for years to enter the Eurovision Song contest, She has been Singing Acting Dancing and doing some Glamour work since she left school, but her main dream is to be Eurovision Queen, she would love to represent the whole of the country and bring the trophy home
Helen Hempstock
Helen lives in Gainsborough lincs, she has been involved with The arts since she was a child
She has worked with projects in Lincoln and Retford, she has been a drama and dance teacher for years, she has been a member of The old nick theatre in Gainsborough since 1998, she has also played lead parts in many plays, and has been involved with choirs, Helen is a talented young lady to have on board

Tim Davis

Tim is Emma's very controlling boyfriend and manager
Tim is a slimey character, he treats woman like objects and has no respect for anyone, he is bad tempered and only seems to care about money and the music industrie, could Tim be in for a big surprise?
Nick Clayton
Nick lives in Retford and has kindly joined the group for this play he trained at the DMU in Bedford, he has lots of experience in performing arts, he has worked with many Theatre companys in the country, He started acting when he was 11 and is still enjoying it, he is also a writer and is writing a screenplay, he has been a member of Retford little Theatre since 1998, Nick is an enthusiastic new member to have on board

Jamie Lomax

Emma's songwriting partner and friend Jamie is a close friend of Emma's, he has known her a few years and has been writing song ideas with her for a while, he has just started to make it big in the music biz, working with quite a few popstars on album tracks and some single releases, Jamie has written a song for Emma to enter in the Song for Europe compettion, he is hoping this compettion will properly launch his music carreer
Jason Browne
Jason also lives in Gainsborough, has been a member of The Old Nick Theatre group for some years, he has starred in plays such as Fools Paradise and Moons the Madonna, he has also directed plays such as Moons the Madonna and One for the road, Jason is a very dedicated person to have on board

Karen Delaney

Karen is Emma's loving Mother, she is lovely lady, but just a bit old fashioned, she still refers to dating as courting, Karen cares alot for her daughters Emma and Helen and helps them the best she can, she is very supportive of Emma and her music career and wants her to do well she doesn't think much to Emma's boyfriend Tim
Pam Craig
Pam has been with the group since the start, she has been involved with script reading from very early stages, she has been doing backing singing on some of the songs for the past few months and has now taken on the role of Karen Delaney, Altho pam has taken on the role at a later stage than the other actors she is giving it her all and doing really well, Pam is also involved with PACS of gainsborough helping out with meetings etc, she is a good singer and a regular at karaoke's Pam is a great member to have on board

Gabrielle Chesham 14
Helen is Emma's younger sister
She works for a busy magazine and deals with adverstising, she is currently single, Helen is a lovely friendly girl who is always there for her sister Emma, she also helps Emma with dance routines and sometimes sings with her
Gabrielle is a bright young talented girl from Gainsborough, she has appeared in school productions Singing dancing and acting, she helped out with a play last year Lost in the 80s, and has aggreed to star in the follow up play Found in the 90s playing the part of Sharon Lang, Gabrielle is a very enthusiastic young lady that is going to go far
Gabrielle will also be doing backing vocals for a song in the play

Yarna Detroit
Anna Warburton 30
Yarna is the delightfull Eurovision Hostess, presenting the contest is a dream come true, Yarna is a very exciteable young lady who has had various jobs within television, she has been in the German version of big brother 6 years ago coming 2nd place, and she has also been a weather girl for a popular Television channel in Germany, Yarna has a heart of gold
Anna Warburton
Anna has been Acting Dancing and entertaining for years, she has worked in Theatres Nationwide and has worked in holiday parks entertaining, Anna was the lead role in a the hit play 'Lost in the 80s' earlier this year, Anna is a very dedicated young lady with lots of exsperience in the biz, Anna is a great influence to have on board

Mat Tinker 31
Hans is the delightfull Eurovision host, Hans has been in show biz for a few years he has starred in a German Tv series as a policeman which was axed after one series, he has also done some television presenting work,presenting Eurovison is a dream come true, Hans and Yarna have been friends for around 5 years
Mat Tinker
Mat has been involved in the biz for many years, touring comedy clubs all over the country, and has entered compettions and has also submitted work to the bbc, Mat starred in 'Lost in the 80s' earlier this year playing 3 roles the main role being Jack Thompson which he has aggreed to play the part of in the follow up play Found in the 90s

Danielle Arber 18
Danielle is singing an Irsrealy Entry in the show, you will have to wait and find out which one it is! altho i will give you a clue, The (Female) Singer caused havoc just by entering the compettion in the late 90s?
Danielle has been singing for years and been involved with the pacs group and also the operatic society of gainsborough, danielle is a talented young lady to have on board

Adam Joyce 28
Adam is singing the Danish song, and is also our tec guy who works for Just for the Record Music hire, Adam is a great guy to have on board and has learned the song quickly

Lindsey Chesham 13
Lindsey has joined the group to take on a dancing and backing singing role, lindsey is very enthusiastic and enjoys performing arts and is also involved with The Gainsborough Pacs Group at st Johns

Richard Mason 29
The Writer/Producer Singer and Reporter
Richard wrote this play in early 07, it will be Richard's second Stage-play, Richards first play Lost in the 80's was a huge success in march of this year please visit www.lost-in-the-80s.zoomshare.com
Richard has been writing songs for years and recently turned his hand to Script writing he has other plays in the pipeline and has worked hard to make this play work, Richard has lots of other good ideas for The MWM Theatre Group

Better the devil you know
It was alright on the nights!
Sat the 29th and Sun the 30th of Sept
Hi there,
Well rehersals were good and we had a couple of full run throughs before the big opening night, Nerves were building up, even me and i was only in one scene, ha ha
Everyone was doing well on the Saturday aft, we filmed the final scenes for the film version of the play which will be available in December on this site, we all ran through the script a good few times and then come 3pm we were allowed into the church to set up, we hung flags and lights and made the place look great, Adam Joyce went up a very long ladder and gingerly hung a flag, everything looked great, some of us went home and got ready and a few hung around and just read through lines etc,
On saturday we had a smaller turn out, probably around 15 people came to watch, it was still a good atmosphere, and it went well apart from a few hiccups, me forgetting who i was introducing' and Rick Craig forgetting what song he was singing, but it all went well in the end
On Sunday, we had more there and it was a good evening, and it went very well, yet again the singing was excellent and the acting aswell and the bigger crowed joined in and really had fun, well done to backing singers aswell, they really looked the part,
I would like to take this chance to thank the Cast Helen Hempstock , Nick Clayton, Jason Browne, Pam Craig, Gabrielle Chesham, Anna Warburton, Matt Tinker, Adam Joyce, Lindsey Chesham, Danielle Arbur, Sue Craig, Richard Craig and anyone else who helped out backstage or anywhere else to help get this play into production and also a big thankyou to Marcus Hammond at
St Johns Church
We raised 218.85p which after a donation to the church the reamaining amount will be split between a cancer charity and half for the group, towards our next production
Thanks once again all of you, you all worked very hard well done...here is to the next play!!!
